Our Family World Trip

The Dream:

After several years of dreaming about it, we have finally decided to do it! My wife, Heather, and I will be taking out five kids on a round the world trip. We will complete a truly unique adventure travel trip that hopefully our kids will remember for the rest of their lives. This trip is also a way to bring our family closer.

The Plan: As of Oct. 12, 2007

We will be using a Diesel Suburban as our travel vehicle. This section may change in months to come as this is our first look at the trip. We will leave Denver, Colorado and head to Oregon to see my wife’s grandparents. After that we will spend a couple of months touring the US to get used to the setup and test its limits. Better to find out what we could really use while still in a place we can get it. We will then ship our vehicle to South America. Once there we will visit Peru, Chile, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, and Venezuela. We will probably ship from here to Australia and spend several months there. This is just a quick, brief overview. In the months to come, pages will be added with more detail. There will be several things we plan on seeing along the way. A list will be added at a later date. If you know of anything along the route that is a “must see” please feel free to email me and it will be added to the list.

We plan on taking our time and meeting as many different people as possible. If you are located in different parts of the world, and would like to meet, please email me and you’ll be added to the list. Please include all contact info, and things you would like to go see with us. Also included any Offroad Adventure Travel trip you would like to participate in. The list will be posted on the site so you can see what areas need more participation. This will take some time, but I feel confident it will fill in.
