Adventure Travels: CT90 Shakedown Run
Took the bike out for a shakedown run to find any flaws that might need attention! Heres a few highlights:
Had a bad headwind heading west, best I could get the ol girl to do with my heavy butt on it was 32mph. Note: Without such a headwind you can get it up to 55MPH.
Look closely, theres a biker coming the opposite direction. I think he was pedaling faster than I was riding!lol
Riding down this old dirt road I came up to a "picture perfect" farm. And there in the barn look what I found!
I was heading west towards the mountains. The storm was coming in and wind blowing pretty hard, thought this self portrait was kinda neat!
Thought this was kinda cool shot as well.
Making our own tracks!
Low gear option came in handy going down this old snow covered road!
Engine after 3 hours of riding:
Conclusion:
All in all not bad! Best $100 I ever spent! Although this wasnt a true offroad adventure test, for a shakedown it did great. Worked flawless. With a head wind it would only go about 35mph but after seeing the storm and turning around I got it up to 52mph with the wind blowing up from behind!
Good:
Great gas mileage $1.59 for a days ride
Slow enough to really enjoy the views
Great traction, even in the snow
Super comfy seat!
Low Range worked sweet crossing muddy fields
Bad:
Wind really effected top speed!
People pointing and smiling
Lost good amount of power on hills
Needs storage system
