The Buildup of My Jeep Wrangler

I bought this 1998 Jeep Wrangler, otherwise known as a TJ, about a year ago in a hurry to get ready for a weekend trip. I brought it home on a Thursday and started working on it in hopes of having it ready for Friday afternoon. Here is how it looked as it sat in my driveway the first day.

I started tearing into it right away. With no time to spare I pulled the front bumper and grabbed the creeper. I started with a 4.5 inch Terra Flex lift. Installing it went well. Everything went together great and without much hassle. Once that was done I went and had a set of 315/75/16 MTs mounted on black steel wheels. I then mounted a Warn Steering Box Skid(NOTE: Very important add on! Smacked it the first trip out!) and mounted a Warn 8274 with Rockstomper synthetic winch rope. If you look close in the next pics, youll see I only had time to install one Warn Rocker Guard before the trip. I also of course ripped the hard top off. Once this stage was completed, this is what it looked like...

For its maiden voyage we went up the mountains above Central City and Blackhawk to play around. It seemed to flex fairly well. As you can tell I didnt have time to remount the Flares either.

Once the trip was done there were some things to iron out. I finished the rock slider install and mounted the flares back on. I then installed a one inch body lift. This cleared the one inch M.O.R.E. solid motor mounts. By doing this I eliminated the need to do a one inch transfer case drop(Note:Never understood putting a 4 inch lift on only to lower the tcase an inch). After that was done I ran over to a buddies place and had him spray bedliner in my now stripped out interior. I then purchased a set of Poison Spyder Corner guards and 4 inch round LED tailights. So here is how it looks as of today, 6/1/06:

Future Mods:
Probably more offroad lighting. I have a Dana 60 front and 14bolt rear being rebuilt now. Possible stretching and a 350 conversion. Followed by a 700R4 and NP241.
