While at the Denver Sport, Boat, and Travel show I ran into the US distributor for the Oztent-The 30 Second Tent. I watched them display the tent with some reservations. How the heck does a tent really go up in 30 seconds? Its true! I was amazed as I watched them set it up! It went up in less than 30 seconds. And to show how easy it was, he asked my 12 year old daughter to come set it up. She had it up in 26 seconds on her first try! Now this is my kind of tent! After a long day of dirt and dust, its just nice to slap the tent up quickly with so little effort. And this isnt some flimsy tent either. The quality of the material is top notch, its a high quality waterproof Rip-Stop Poly-cotton Canvas and has a heavy duty heat sealed PVC floor. The fit and finish is great quality as well. I must admit that during our Baja trip, we put this thing up three times a day. It worked flawless. On the last tear down it was raining hard. I completely forgot about that and didnt dry it out after the trip. Im actually embarrassed about the fact that I didnt pull it out for over a month. I thought for sure it would have mold on it and stink. The water hadnt penetrated the material and was still beading up!! I couldnt beleive it! I set it up and it dried out quickly with NO effect from my laziness. That was fantastic in my opinion! Another great option is to open it up, but not raise it. You can then mount this to some sort of rack system and have the worlds fastest roof top tent!! So for you guys out there building your own trailer, keep this tent in mind to mount on the top! It will be so quick, and save you hours of frustration! There are so many different options with this tent, I just love it! You can buy two and have them facing each other, making a VERY nice base camp situation. ANY way you set it up, it will only take minutes.
